CRU, the statutory body responsible for advising the government on the amount of levies that should be extracted from electricity consumers through a Public Service Levy have said that next years PSO Levy will actually be a series of monthly refunds.
An annual refund of €311.51 (or €25.96 monthly) will be credited to those businesses that have less than 30KvA capacity, whilst businesses who pay a “per KvA” unit price will have a credit of €37.82 per KvA (or €3.15 monthly). If your business has a capacity of 50 KvA, this will result in a refund of €1,890, in addition to a zero PSO charge.
