There are a few titles that will amend the cover and wholesale prices in the first week of January.
These are:
• The Anglo Celt;
• The Westmeath Examiner;
• The Westmeath Independent;
• The Meath Chronicle
These increase the RSP by 10cent from €3.20 to €3.30.
The Connaught Telegraph goes from RSP €3.10 to €3.20
The Irish News will increase each of its daily editions by 20cent from €1.50 to €1.70
All agreed discounts with the publishers will continue to be applied via the RSP, which will, of course, no longer have VAT applied, leading to increased wholesale costs, but for those selling at or in excess of the cover price, will also lead to increased cash margins.
