We have been made aware of the impending retirement of Limerick retailer Ann Roche of Tierney’s Roxboro Road. Ann joined the Association in 1988 and was an enthusiastic supporter of her fellow newsagents campaigns for fair and equitable treatment from publishers and trade suppliers over the years.
Very few children going to CBS and Presentation would not have bought their treats in Tierney’s and the shop serviced the employees in the Bus Eireann depot, the many families living in the 2 local authority housing estates and commuters using the bus stops nearby.
We wish Ann and her family a long a happy retirement and extend our thanks for the flow of information and market intelligence provided over the years.
