The Convenience Stores & Newsagents Association of Ireland represents retailers big and small nationwide from the independent to the multi-franchise owner, all members are equal. As the only independent retailer-driven trade organisation we represent the interest of our members and no one else. We are focused in our efforts to the benefit of all our members with a range of member’s deals, guidance, training and support. As the largest independent retailer trade body we are in a position to ultimately maximise the profits of our members and to protect their interests.
The Irish Retail Newsagents Association dates back to 1926, when a group of Dublin newsagents and booksellers formed the Irish Retail Newsagents, Booksellers and Stationers Association. Following on from this, the CSNA (Convenience Stores & Newsagents Association) was founded in 1988. In the subsequent years, many of our members developed their businesses beyond recognition extending their core source of income from newspapers and magazines to convenience stores, the forecourt sector and the mini-supermarket category. As a result of this progression, the CSNA was rebranded in May 2006, although the core values of the Association remain the same. This is an unconditional commitment to our members to support and represent them across all sectors of their business from improving workplace skills, to research in areas of development and training, to policies on tobacco, information on telephone top-up, Postpoint, Payzone changes and issues, as well as compliance and legislation updates.
Here are just some of the reasons why you should join CSNA:
The CSNA is a not for profit organisation which is funded entirely through members’ subscriptions; therefore all policies and determinations are member driven and are not subject to either influence or dilution from outside sources.
