I grew up in a family run retail business which has been in operation in Connemara for over 100 years.
I have always been heavily involved and had a keen interest in the family business and grasped at the opportunity to take full ownership of it when my parents retired just over eight years ago.
Why she joined the national executive:
I joined the national executive to try to make a difference, to have an impact and to ultimately help others.
What she hopes to achieve as a member of the executive:
I really hope to make a difference as a member of the executive.
Retail is an exceptionally challenging sector (at the moment), and I feel being part of the CSNA and having access to this network and services will allow me to make this difference to support others in the sector.
Any key advice you would have for retailers reading your profile:
Don’t feel like you are ever alone – there is a fantastic support network with the CSNA here to help you and offer advice that really understands the retail sector.
