A native of Newcastle, County Dublin, I have been involved in the family business all my life. Currently, I own and manage a large forecourt retail operation, which includes a convenience store and deli, in addition to serving as the Post Master for the adjacent Post Office.
I became a member of the CSNA National Executive to have a greater influence and input on decisions that impact the retail sector.
By being part of the National Executive, we have the opportunity to meet with key decision-makers, whether they are from the government or suppliers, to voice member concerns and perspectives before any decisions are made that could affect our businesses. My goal is to ensure that the voices of our members are heard, and our concerns are addressed.
My advice to fellow retailers is to focus on your strengths and don’t hesitate to take risks; standing still can lead to falling behind.
