We were overwhelmed with the attendance at last weeks workshops and AGM. We would like to thank all those members that attended that contributed to what we can only describe as an informative and enjoyable event.
The positive feedback from attendees has been overwhelming, and it truly reaffirms the importance of community and collaboration within the retail sector. The workshops on the day provided valuable insights into financial advice for our members from John Murphy of OmniPro and information on the supports and grants that are available within our sector from the Local Enterprise Offices.
A heartfelt thank you to our main sponsors:
- Stationmaster for the morning refreshments
- TOMRA collection Ireland for sponsoring the CSNA daytime event
- TigerFeet/Budget Greeting cards for sponsoring the CSNA lunch
Our AGM saw Sara Orme of Daybreak Delvin elected to the office of National President with Flora Crowe of Crowes Sixmilebridge elected to the office of Vice President. We welcomed our new National Executive members John Eivers, Centra, Kilkenny and Val Boggan, Londis, New Rosslare and look forward to their contribution to the National Executive. After 30 years of serving on the National Executive we thank Joe Tierney of Tierney’s Newsagents, Meath for his invaluable contribution and dedication to the CSNA over the past 3 decades, we also thanked Michael Kelly of Maxol, Carnew for his contribution to the National Executive over the past 2 years as they step down from the National Executive.
The AGM also highlighted the achievements of the past year and set ambitious goals for the future, guided by the capable leadership of our National President Sara Orme, CEO Vincent Jennings and the executive team.
We will have images from the AGM in next weeks newsletter and we hope that any members that couldn’t make this year’s AGM that you will be able to join us next May for the 2026 CSNA AGM.
