We have been made aware by the Publishers of the Financial Times that they will be printing a new RRP onto the cover of their newspaper from next Monday. While each retailer is free to set their own retail price for every newspaper and magazine sold in their store, the distributor is instructed by the publisher to wholesale the title to retailers at an agreed discount off the printed (RRP) cover price. The Financial Times are changing the Monday to Friday barcode to reflect the new cover price. The Saturday, (weekend) edition remains unchanged. The agreed discount remains, each copy sold at cover price will earn retailers 88.25cent.
