CSNA Skillnet propose delivering the following Retail Security tailored course to CSNA members in order to improve personal safety and reduce loss in the retail environment.
Programme Overview:
Attendance on this course will result in the employee being able to:
- Understand civil and criminal law relating to retail security operations, including right to refuse service, trespass, use of force, arrest, intoxicating liquor act and dealing with children
- Understand loss and crime prevention including systems and procedures
- Understand current criminal strategies for retail environments
- Understand procedures for dealing with criminal activity including shoplifting
- Understand how to recognise, assess and reduce risk in conflict situations
- Manage and de-escalate conflict and aggression including procedure for dealing with robbery
- Demonstrate a range of self-defence manoeuvres enabling the employee to release from grab and retreat
The course is interactive and encourages attendees to participate through instructor role play and scenario-based teaching.
